THE TEENAGERS OF NORTHERN HILLS BAPTIST CHURCH ARE HOSTING A 4-DAY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL FOR THE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES OF LEON, MEXICO.
THEY ARE WORKING HARD TO RAISE FUNDS TO PAY FOR THE ENTIRE TRIP INCLUDING AIRFARE, LODGING, MEALS FOR THE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES AS WELL AS VBS SUPPLIES.

Oh yes, it includes playing with blanks!

We are unleashing the full magic of the 160-tile set! That’s right, jokers and blanks are joining the party!

This portion is just for fun! The competitive rounds will be timed, while the "Just For Fun" rounds will be at your own pace. No rushing, no scorekeeping, just lots of fun! The number of games you play will be determined by the speed your table plays.

There will be 3 rounds so you will switch tables and play with different people.

There is a grand prize of $200 on the line for the winner with the top score!

There will be 3 rounds, with a total of 12 games played. Players will rotate tables (unless you are hosting a table, more on that below), keep score, and WIN BIG!

Each round is 70 minutes with a short break between Round 1 and 2 and lunch between Round 2 and 3.
The 2025 National Mahjong League Card is the official card of the tournament. You are required to bring your own card.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM READY TO PLAY COMPETITIVELY?
You are likely ready to play COMPETITIVELY if you know the NMJL card well, can comfortably play at high speed, and are excited by competition rather than pressured by it. You should be able to quickly arrange tiles, identify patterns, and play with minimal reliance on assistance. Confidence in, not necessarily memorization of, the card is crucial. Unsure? The tournament will be held at Northern Hills Baptist Church
located at 6000 Sammy Lane, Texarkana, AR.

The registration price is $70 for both categories (JUST FOR FUN / COMPETITIVELY).

We are using American Mahjong tiles - the non-traditional ones!
You paid a lot of money for those beautiful tiles - let's use them!
​
A delicious Mexican lunch is included!

Drinks and snacks are provided!
​
Doors will open at 8:30am and the tournament should end at 2:30pm.​
HOW DO I REGISTER?
THERE IS ONE REGISTRATION LINK FOR BOTH CATEGORIES!
During registration you will be asked a few questions (besides your basic info):
To list your favorite type of drink
If you are willing to bring an entire setup including a table, mat, tiles, racks, and lamp. Side tables and tablecloth are optional and all chairs are provided by the church. If you bring an entire setup, you will stay with your table/supplies the entire day.
That you understand that you must be on time and you must bring your own 2025 National Mahjong League Card. If you'd like to play, but do not have a card, reach out to a friend. Lots of people have multiple cards to share with friends!
